Highlights – October

Well another month has come and gone, and it has been a good one – but now it’s time to take a look forward at the goodies to come in October – and October is looking to be another huge month so be prepared to eat up all your time here!

October 4:

Dark Souls – The multiplatform spiritual successor to Demon’s Souls is coming out in less than a week, the excitement is palpable!

Spider-Man: Edge of Time – Marvel’s certainly been busy, first X-Men Destiny this week and now Spider-Man: Edge of Time next week – definitely can’t wait.

Rage – Although Rage, being first person only, isn’t on my list of games to play, I’m absolutely looking forward to seeing how it performs and it’s definitely worthy of mention.

October 7:

Just Dance 3 – Another one I’m not looking to play, but will be a huge one and warrants a mention for that reason alone.

October 13:

Might and Magic Heroes VI – Heroes 3 and 4 ate years of my life each, and 5 was pretty solid as well – I am really looking forward to some good old fashioned turn based strategy gameplay.

October 18:

Batman: Arkham City – Another massive release, the sequel to one of the most critically acclaimed superhero games of all time.

Rocksmith – Rocksmith is a brilliant idea on Ubisoft’s part, and one I hope pans out for them – although I have no interest myself in learning the guitar, anything that promotes creativity and musicianship gets a plus in my books.

Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One – Not having 3 immediate people to play this with who are interested, I may not be able to enjoy it fully, but as long as it has a solo element I’ll definitely be giving it a go – Ratchet and Clank is just too awesome to ignore!

October 24:

Kirby’s Return to Dream Land – What? A Wii game? That’s unheard of! Just kidding… but really, I’ve been looking forward to a classic Kirby game for years, and I just hope they allow you to use the classic controller for this, because it would be enough to pull my Wii out of storage if you can!

October 25:

Battlefield 3 – Another one that isn’t on my list to play, due to my aversion for first person only games, but it looks amazing and I can’t wait to see whether it lives up to the hype!
