Picks of the Week – November 21, 2011

Looking for some stuff to have fun with this week? Look no further – I’ve got another edition of our ‘picks of the week’ ready for you!

Game – Rayman: Origins

If you are looking to just have some fun – you can’t go wrong with Rayman Origins. The game is probably Ubisoft’s best work – yes I am aware of Assassin’s Creed – and worthy of every bit of praise that I can levy. My review of it should be posted either tonight or tomorrow, if you want more information. But you really shouldn’t wait that long┬áto play it.

Book – The Ruins of Ambrai – Melanie Rawn

The first book in the ‘Exiles’ series is an exciting and intriguing book full of political intrigue, well-conceived characters, and magical action where the lines between good and evil are blurred and uncertain.

Music – The Legend of Zelda: Sound and Drama

Again in honour of the anniversary of A Link To The Past, our recommendation this week is the soundtrack from that game released over 15 years ago. It can be hard to find, but if you’re at all interested in Zelda’s music, you can’t go wrong with the themes of this game. Happy listening!
