We-e-ll… this has apparently been a very long week considering how long it’s been since my last picks. But here we have a new week! Amazing, ain’t it?
Book: Magic Kingdom for Sale – Terry Brooks
Starting the Landover series, Magic Kingdom features the crazy concept of a person unhappy with his life responding to an advertisement quoting for a magical kingdom that is for sale. Ben, the former lawyer and new king, has to figure out how to cure the dying kingdom of Landover.
Game: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Going back a little bit in time here… this PS1 game features an epic soundtrack, amazing gameplay, and spawned the sub-genre lovingly known as metroidvania… if you’ve missed it and even if you didn’t you can’t get a much better time than playing it again. PS: It’s available on the PSN as a PS1 Classic in case you didn’t know!
Song: Simple And Clean – Utada Hikaru (Kingdom Hearts 2 Soundtrack)
I’d say it’s likely that most of you have heard this song – or at least part of it – as it was featured in the game as well as in several ad campaigns for Kingdom Hearts games… so I probably don’t need to tell you just how good this song is… but if you haven’t been privileged enough to hear it, I strongly recommend you take the time to listen to it, and I will be surprised if it doesn’t make it’s way into your playlists for where-ever you happen to listen to music!
