The Blade’s Edge – July Update

Happy Canada Day everyone – and early Happy Independence Day for any American readers! We’re full into the summer lull here, and it’s time for me to update you on my plans for the next month. Let’s get right into it!

To start with, as many of you may know, Ai-Kon is coming up in just under 2 weeks and I am incredibly excited for it. Expect a post-show after the convention’s over, as well as at least one gallery and possibly some other stuff if I can wrangle it. If you’re planning to attend and would like to chat(or if you want to arrange to meet to do an impromptu photoshoot in the Japanese Gardens or by the beaker or somewhere else nearby) just drop me a line at Sean@ShadowedBlade.net and we’ll see if we can find a time that works for both of us!

Unfortunately this is going to be a really slow month for gaming, with only one title that I’m aware of hitting shelves this month that I’m remotely interested in. Expect me to give a look at Time and Eternity when it comes out. Aside from that, I’m still playing through Muramasa Rebirth(spoiler: loving it) and Soul Sacrifice, and also doing a replay of Record of Agarest Zero. When I finish any of those, I plan to write about them. I just recently finished The Last of Us and am working on the review of that one – in fact I took a break from writing that to do this – so that should be up in a few days. That’s about it for gaming though…

On the anime front I recently finished watching Angel Beats and will be writing about it later this week. I’ve also been continuing to watch basically all of the same shows just continuing on, but I’ve also started watching Neo Angelique Abyss(yes I know, I watch too many shows at the same time). And I’ll quite probably find something new to watch this year at Ai-Kon as well, I usually do.

I’ve got a few ideas for posts I want to write, we’ll see when they come. I’m also planning to do some early morning sunrise pictures one day if I can find a day where weather cooperates, and there are a number of other areas in Assiniboine Park I haven’t gotten to that I’d love to grab some pictures of. We’ll see how the photography goes this summer, looking forward to it.

It’s going to be a fairly quiet July, good time for catching up on stuff I’ve left unfinished! Hope to see you all at Ai-Kon, I’ll be there all weekend!
