Well guys, October has come and gone, and there are only two months left in the year, and only two weeks left until the new console generation. Crazy times…
On the anime front, things are looking slim. I’m writing a review for Gosick, but aside from that there isn’t likely to be much anime coverage this month as I’ve finished all the summer releases I’m interested in and the fall ones are only a few episodes in. I am going to try to find a good AMV to cover, but they can be hard to find.
In a way, that’s a good thing though… there are two major events coming up for me. I’ll be attending C4(Central Canada Comic Con) this coming weekend and will be covering it afterwards. And the weekend following I’ll be watching Blizzcon and talking about what I see that particularly interesting to me.
But the biggest thing to be aware of is on the gaming front. We have, on November 15th, the release of the PlayStation 4 and along with it a bevy of new titles. The PS4 appears to have a very solid launch lineup with a good variety of titles to appeal to almost anyone. For me, there are two that standout… the unique indy platformer Contrast and the brawler Knack. Both of these I’ll be grabbing as soon as I can get a PS4 – I have one on pre-order, but just barely too late for a guaranteed day 1 preorder.
As for other titles, I’m almost done with Diablo 3’s PS3 version, and I’ve been gradually working through Kingdom Hearts so those may see posts this month – almost certainly Diablo 3 at least. The Guided Fate Paradox is coming out next week, and I’ll be absolutely giving that a look, and Ratchet and Clank Into the Nexus will be coming out the week before the PS4 as well, so I’d like to play that. In Nintendo news, Zelda: A Link Between Worlds will be coming out later in November – hopefully I can find time for that. Last, but certainly not least, I will be grabbing Tearaway for my Vita.
As far as written content in the works… every week until the end of the year on Tuesday there will be a new entry in my Most Anticipated of 2014 series, so you can keep an eye out for those. Furthermore, tomorrow as well as next Friday there will be new Shadow’s Six pieces on different topics related to this past console generation much like the one I released last Friday. Finally, I would like to write a bit about League of Legends, but that might not make it this month.
It’s going to be a busy month, but one that will certainly be memorable for us all!
