The Blade’s Edge – May Update

These months are just blasting by, barely even leaving time for us to notice them. We’re now about to enter May.

Starting off with a bit of looking back… I should have been expecting this, but Conception 2 is taking a lot longer than I’d hoped to get through. I am slowly but surely working my way through this rather unique title, but I am not at a place where I feel comfortable reviewing it yet. Once I finish Conception 2, I’m planning to move on to Demon Gaze, which came out last month. Fortunately there’s nothing new I’m interested in for the Vita this month, so that shouldn’t be a problem. And, at the start of June, I have a brief vacation where I should have a good amount of time for handheld gaming. I’ve just started playing Child of Light, and I anticipate that I’ll have that finished this week, so we should have a review later this week.

May has a few games coming out that I’m quite excited for, so I’ll really have to make good use of my time – especially as we approach the end of the month. There is a new 3DS Kirby coming out, I might give it a check if I feel I can tolerate using my 3DS long enough to play it. That’s a big if, and with all the other games I have running right now, I simply don’t know if I’ll find time or motivation. Moving on from that, May 9th has the release of the Action RPG Bound By Flame which I am intending to give some time to. Additionally, on the 20th Drakengard 3 and Transistor, both games I’m very excited for, will be going. Finally, the long-delayed Watch Dogs will be launching on the 27th, another game that many of us have been looking forward to for a long time.

I’ve been watching more of Galilei Donna, so I believe a review for that will be forthcoming fairly soon. There are a number of shows I’m looking at that are simply too early in the season to be reviewed, so those will have to wait, but I’m going to try to make time for a few of the ones I’ve had on my backburner so I can get out some anime reviews for you.

I also am writing a muses post on a surprise topic that touches very close to home that I’m hoping will be out within the next few days, and I have a Shadow’s Six post that I’ve been working on, on and off, over the past few weeks. I’d like to have that one out fairly soon. As an aside, if you’re wondering about the lack of AMV spotlights lately… it’s simply hard to find AMVs that aren’t reposts from ‘BestAMVofAllTime’ and I won’t spotlight an AMV if I can’t give credit to the actual artist behind its creation. I still look frequently, and I’d like to find some good AMVs for some of the anime that I’ve been watching lately… but it simply is not as easy as it may seem.

Well, now that we’ve covered this, I guess it’s time for me to get back to Child of Light. Have a good month!
