Hello everyone! September is over, which means the end of the summer anime season and another flood of content coming in the next few weeks. It also means the fall anime and gaming seasons are starting, which should mean that over the next few months most of the big AAA games for the year should be coming… just not quite this month. Let’s get this started.
First and foremost, you may notice this post is somewhat different from the others. I’m not going to be keeping the Blade’s Edge page up – it was never up to date anyways. These posts will have the info about what my plans for the month are, and possibly beyond. Additionally, some of you may have noticed that my Ai-Kon 2014 Cosplay Contest Gallery is finally posted. If not, you can visit my Gallery page to see it and my other Ai-Kon 2014 galleries. Within the next few days I’ll be posting a spotlight of my favourite images from that gallery as well. As a final note, at the end of this month the Central Canada Comic Convention will be happening, once again, and I will be attending. It hasn’t been my favourite event in previous years, but there are some new things this year that may prove interesting so I’m quite excited for it.
This month is going to be another huge one for anime content – every show I was watching except 3 have finished within the past week and a half, so there should be numerous reviews coming. I’ve got one mostly done, but over the next few weeks we should have reviews for at least HaNaYaMaTa, Aldnoah.Zero, Locodol, Persona 4 the Golden Animation, and Blade Dance of the Elementalers – and possibly a few others. Additionally, I’d like to do a few Shadow’s Six lists relating to the summer season. The new season is about to start, but the announcements of which titles are coming aren’t concrete yet, so aside from Log Horizon season 2, I’m not sure quite what I’ll be checking out – SAO2, Akame ga Kill, and Argevollen are all continuing from the current season. As it stands, I’m not certain if I’ll be reviewing them in this run or after the fall season when they conclude… but we’ll see.
There are also a few gaming reviews coming. I just finished Tales of Xillia 2 so should be reviewing it soon, and I’m playing through Shadow of Mordor as well. Sadly, very few of the new releases for this month interest me. The first chapter of Dreamfall Chapters, which I kickstarted, is set to come out this month so I should be giving that a try. Additionally, Lords of the Fallen is coming out which I am interested in, but I’m unsure if I’ll be playing right away. Additionally, I might take a break from Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment to play either Freedom Wars or one of the other JRPGs for the Vita that has come out over the past few months. Hollow Fragment is going to take me quite a while to get through as it is a huge game, and we’ll see if I review it when the time comes but, regardless, it’s going to be a while for that one.
Those are my plans for this month. If anyone has anything they’d like me to check out this month, let me know in the comments and I’ll look into it! Have a good month everyone! It should be a busy one so let’s get October started – keep an eye out in the next day or two for the first review of the month!
