Most Anticipated of 2015 – Anime

Happy New Years Eve everyone!

It’s time… the final edition of Most Anticipated of 2015 – this time we talk Anime. This past year has been amazing, and I only hope it keeps getting better. Anime producers typically don’t give us as much of a heads up as gaming companies do, so this list is only going to have a few entries based off of what’s been 100% confirmed… but what I’ve heard so far has me very excited!

Under The Dog

First off we have Under the Dog, a rarity: an anime that was crowdfunded. This sci-fi project sounded ambitious and exciting, so I had to get behind it. It’s being made by a team of veterans in the anime industry, and it’s got some exciting ideas. It is expected to be ready in December of next year, so we’ve got a bit of a wait… but I think it’ll be worth the wait.

Grisaia Sequels

Here’s a bit of a spoiler… but the Fruit of Grisaia was really good. Review will be coming soon… but I just had to squeeze this in here since at the end of the last episode there was a teaser for two new Grisaia shows – Labyrinth and Eden. From what I’ve read, they seem to be a combination of prequels and character stories which – given how good Grisaia’s cast was – has me really excited. Expect these to be starting early-mid next year.

Next on the list comes Nisekoi, the comedy anime that had me cackling so loud my wife was worried about me. I’ve recently discovered confirmation that Nisekoi’s second season is coming soon which, needless to say given that it too made my list of awesome new beginnings for 2014, is something I am really looking forward to. I wasn’t terribly pleased with how Nisekoi ended, so I’m relieved they’ll finally get the chance to fix that.

Aldnoah started out with one of the best introductory episodes I’ve seen in a long time, and it continued strong right up until about the last episode… which left me wondering how they could possibly continue. And I’m so glad I’ll finally find out in just a short time as Aldnoah.Zero is set to be a part of the 2015 Winter Season.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this list and I hope that all of these titles live up to their promise and make 2015 the best year of anime yet!
