Alright, so it’s August 3rd… and I still haven’t found the time to do this update for you guys. I’ll admit it, I’ve been in a bit of a lazy mood these past few days, but I have an excuse. You see, I was the unlucky one… apparently most people who upgraded to Windows 10 had it pretty easy. My upgrade experience was a complete nightmare, so after two days of fighting with that… I needed to just take some time not thinking. But that’s all done with, I’m upgraded, everything’s working, and I’m rested and ready to go! So as always, let’s take a look back before we take a look forward.
It’s that time again! July is upon us and Ai-Kon 2015 is fast approaching(only a week away!) and I’m thrilled to say I’ll be there for the entire weekend. This is the event I look forward to every year, the event I get the most excited for. Winnipeg’s annual celebration of anime.
Damn, January flew by fast, didn’t it? Not a lot happened this month, with not a single game coming out I intend to play – since Heroes of Might and Magic 3 HD requires Steam and that’s a dealbreaker. But that doesn’t mean there wasn’t a lot to do. I finished up my end year wrap up with the Best Anime of 2014’s Summer and Fall Seasons, I started my fall review blitz with reviews of Trinity Seven, Yona of the Dawn, Fruit of Grisaia, Your Lie in April, and When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace.
But more importantly, I’ve continued streaming. Tales of Xillia was quite popular among my viewers, and I then moved on and did streams of Parasite Eve and, just yesterday, Journey. I’m making good progress on Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment, but the game is incredibly long and is taking far longer than I’d expected to complete. Only a few more floors to go before I finish Aincrad and see what twist they have next! I also posted my impressions of the incredibly disappointing Dragon Age: Inquistion.
But we’re now into February… the coldest month of the year, the middle of the Winter anime season, and another quiet month….
Happy New Years guys! It’s been an amazing 2014, featuring some amazing games and anime – some surprisingly so, others exactly as expected – and fall is ending on an amazing high note… I’ve had a great Christmas/New Years so far, and it’s looking like it’s only going to get better.
It’s almost time for Christmas… and you know what that means? Well ya, it means that it’s winter, and it means also means everyone’s going to be broke soon… and it means we’re prettymuch out of new releases since nobody wants to release this close to Christmas. But now that the gloomy news is over… it also means a few good things.
First, it means that the Autumn anime season is starting to come to an end… so either the end of this month or the beginning of the next the reviews should start, but more importantly it means LISTS! And now just shopping lists, year in review lists as well. So let’s get on with this.
